GNC Software Engineer – Autonomous Robotics

About the role

We are looking for a GNC Software Engineer to develop guidance, navigation and control algorithms for next‑generation autonomous rover platforms. The role is hybrid, based in Stevenage, and offers the chance to see your software run on full‑scale prototypes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement intelligent navigation algorithms for autonomous robotic systems.
• Develop and maintain simulation models to test GNC solutions.
• Integrate sensors such as LiDAR, IMU and cameras into the software stack.
• Validate algorithms through laboratory testing and real‑world field trials.
• Collaborate with systems, software and robotics engineers across the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Control Systems or a related field (preferred).
• At least two years of commercial engineering experience.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and programming in Python and/or C++.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Guidance‑Navigation‑Control concepts.
