Golang Developer – Hybrid – Burgess Hill, UK

About the role

We are looking for a Golang Developer to join a collaborative Scrum team in Burgess Hill. The role focuses on building and enhancing backend micro‑services for a global loyalty and benefits platform, working primarily on the Account domain.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance Go services using micro‑service architecture.
• Implement and consume REST APIs and message‑queue integrations (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Write automated tests following TDD/BDD principles and ensure code quality through CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA and other engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience with a type‑safe language, preferably Golang.
• Hands‑on experience building backend micro‑services and working with message queues.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and delivering CI/CD‑ready code.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
