Goods In and Stores Operative

About the role

Swegon is looking for a Goods In and Stores Operative to work a weekend‑only shift pattern (Friday to Sunday, 06:00‑18:00). The role focuses on efficiently managing receipt, storage and distribution of goods to maintain inventory accuracy and support production.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain material availability for daily production and dispatch requirements.
• Keep stock transaction records accurate and report errors to the Inventory Controller.
• Maintain clean and safe storage areas and ensure timely receipt of incoming purchase orders.
• Unload vehicles, arrange skip exchanges/pallet deliveries and ensure all goods are correctly labelled.
• Execute stocktake processes and support best‑practice stock control techniques such as consignment, kanban and VMI.
• Work closely with Inventory Controller, QA and Purchasing to resolve non‑conforming product issues.

Required profile

• Experience in store activities, factory environments or similar logistics settings.
• Ability to work weekend shifts with a 30‑minute unpaid break each day.
• Basic IT literacy and familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS/ERP).

Required skills

• Forklift licence – counter balance.
• Reach truck licence (highly desirable).
• Computer literacy for using WMS/ERP systems.
