Goods In Quality Inspector – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

The Goods In Quality Inspector will join a leading defence and aerospace organisation on a 12‑month contract, based in Carterton. You will apply your aerospace knowledge to ensure incoming components meet strict airworthiness and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform receipt and evaluation inspections of complex components and assemblies using predefined inspection plans.
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures, airworthiness control plans and the QMS.
• Inspect finished products to verify conformance with MAA/FAA/EASA Part 145 specifications and customer requirements.
• Maintain material batch and manufacturer traceability records.
• Issue discrepancy reports and support resolution of customer complaints and supplier quality issues.
• Document non‑conformance incidents and represent the Quality Management Department in internal meetings and modification programmes.

Required profile

• Knowledge of aircraft operations, materials and practices.
• Experience with MAA or EASA Part 145 (Part 21 experience is a plus).
• Understanding of AS9100 and First Article Inspection processes.
• Associate degree or two years of technical education in aerospace, systems or electro‑mechanical engineering.
• Logistics or inventory management experience, preferably in an aviation environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with a QMS for logistics operations.
• MAA/EASA Part 145 certification is advantageous.
