GP Partner or Salaried GP in Scottish Borders

About the role

Join a friendly, well‑supported NHS practice serving 7,000 patients across Melrose and Newtown St Boswells. The position can be taken as a partner, salaried GP, or long‑term locum, with a planned partner retirement in April 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 25 routine 15‑minute appointments per day.
• Provide continuity of care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with ANPs who handle most acute care and a practice nurse leading chronic disease management.
• Work closely with district nurses, health visitors, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and CTAC.
• Maintain low home‑visiting workload and optional out‑of‑hours duties.

Required profile

• Qualified General Practitioner interested in a partnership, salaried, or long‑term locum role.
• Willingness to work in a rural setting with strong community ties.
• Commitment to collaborative, patient‑centred care.
