Graduate Development Surveyor – Rural & Development Team

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Development Surveyor to join our rural and development team in Pulborough. This full‑time permanent position offers a pathway to professional qualifications such as APC and MRICS while working on a variety of land and planning projects across the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, appraise and promote development opportunities for landowners.
• Support senior surveyors in delivering strategic advice on land and development projects.
• Prepare development appraisals, reports and site assessments.
• Liaise with landowners, developers, planners and consultants.
• Assist in negotiations for option agreements, promotion agreements and land disposals.
• Conduct site inspections and research to underpin project work.
• Contribute to planning promotion and development strategy advice.

Required profile

• Degree in Rural Land Management, Real Estate or a related property discipline (RICS accreditation preferred).
• Strong interest in land, development and planning.
• Aiming to achieve MRICS qualification.
• Excellent analytical, report writing and communication abilities.
• Proactive, organised and eager to learn.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
