Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our rapidly expanding ground‑engineering team in Reading. You will work on a variety of high‑profile civil projects, receiving mentorship from Chartered engineers and gaining hands‑on experience in geotechnical analysis and design.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in scoping and reviewing risk assessments for ground investigations.
• Support the planning and execution of intrusive ground investigation programmes.
• Develop preliminary designs for slope stability, earthworks, foundations and retaining walls.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for client review.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration.

Required profile

• Recent civil engineering degree (Masters preferred).
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn.
