Graduate Inclusion Teaching Assistant

About the role

Academics is partnering with inclusive primary schools in Slough to recruit Graduate Inclusion Teaching Assistants. This full-time position starts in September 2026 and offers recent graduates the chance to work directly with pupils who have additional learning needs, while building a foundation for a future career in education or related support professions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to adapt learning activities.
• Encourage confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
• Support children’s emotional, social and academic development.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a strong interest in inclusive education.
• Empathetic, patient and adaptable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, therapy or SEN support.
