Graduate Intervention Support Assistant

About the role

This full‑time, long‑term position offers recent graduates the chance to gain hands‑on experience in primary schools across Slough. You will support pupils with diverse learning and emotional needs, helping them achieve academic progress and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group academic interventions.
• Support children with additional learning needs and special educational needs (SEN).
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to monitor pupil progress.
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and social skills.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment across schools.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with an interest in education, child psychology, or SEN.
• Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable team player.
• Aspired to train as a teacher, educational psychologist, or therapist.
• Experience with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is a bonus but not essential.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required.
