Graduate Project Engineer – Automation Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a recent engineering graduate or apprentice to join our automation solutions team in Cheltenham. You will work on real‑world projects for leading UK brands across food, pharmaceutical, distribution and automotive sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full project lifecycle from design through manufacturing to on‑site commissioning.
• Assist in managing automation projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal mechanical, electrical, software and manufacturing teams.
• Travel to client sites across the UK and occasionally overseas for installations and site visits.

Required profile

• Degree (or HNC/HND) in Engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving, organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using 2D/3D CAD software.
