Graduate Recruitment and Engagement Manager

About the role

As the Graduate Recruitment and Engagement Manager you will inspire, attract and support the next generation of optometrists across the North of England and Northern Ireland. You will act as the face of Specsavers at universities, building relationships with students, academic leaders and industry partners to showcase career pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver university events, presentations, workshops and recruitment activities.
• Manage scholarship, placement and student engagement programmes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with universities, governing bodies and senior clinical leaders.
• Represent Specsavers at external events and travel regularly across the region.
• Collaborate with internal talent acquisition and HR teams to align graduate pipelines with business needs.

Required profile

• Highly organised and adaptable professional with strong influencing and relationship‑management abilities.
• Confident presenter comfortable addressing large audiences.
• Experience in people management, programme leadership or a similarly stakeholder‑rich environment.
• Ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences and secure buy‑in.
