About the role
A highly regarded school in Gloucester is seeking a graduate who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. This full‑time, temporary role offers practical classroom experience before you move on to a career in education, psychology or child development.
Key responsibilities
- Support children with a range of SEN needs in one‑to‑one and group settings.
- Assist the class teacher and SENCo in implementing personalised learning plans.
- Encourage inclusion, independence and engagement among pupils.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual requirements.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists and families to monitor student progress.
Required profile
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic graduate with a genuine interest in SEN.
- A degree in Psychology, Education or a related field is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, proactive and adaptable approach.
- Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
