Graduate Software Engineer

About the role
Join Abound’s fast‑growing graduate scheme as a Software Engineer. You will be part of a fintech team that uses AI and Open Banking data to deliver fair, affordable personal finance solutions across the UK and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Implement business logic for core lending products and new market offerings.
- Create internal and customer‑facing API endpoints using FastAPI.
- Integrate external APIs to enhance credit‑decisioning and payment processing.
- Work with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases to store and retrieve customer data securely.
- Participate in rapid feature‑development cycles and see your code shipped from day one.
- Rotate across multiple backend‑focused teams and collaborate with data science, risk, compliance, underwriting and product groups.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a strong interest in fintech and software development.
- Eager to learn quickly, take ownership and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable collaborating cross‑functionally and adapting to new product areas.
