About the role
We are seeking recent English graduates to join secondary schools in Sutton as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This full‑time, school‑based position starts in September 2026 and offers hands‑on experience supporting literacy development across Key Stages 3‑5.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to students, focusing on reading, writing and comprehension.
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and behaviour support.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs (SEND) where required.
- Help prepare learning materials and monitor student progress.
Required profile
- Degree in English or a closely related subject.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine interest in education, literacy and young people’s development.
- Proactive, reliable and professional attitude.
