About the role
Academics is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a high‑achieving secondary school in North West London from September. This full‑time, temporary position runs for the entire academic year and offers recent graduates valuable classroom experience before teacher training or further study.
Key responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions for students needing extra help.
- Assist pupils with academic progress, confidence and engagement.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and fellow graduates as part of a wider support team.
- Help maintain a safe, positive and productive learning environment.
Required profile
- A degree in any subject.
- Genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, enthusiastic and professional attitude.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Residence within or ability to travel to North West London.
