Graduate Teaching Assistant – Gloucester

About the role

This full‑time, temporary position offers recent graduates the chance to gain hands‑on classroom experience in a welcoming primary school in Gloucester. You will work closely with teachers and pupils, supporting learning, confidence and development while building a solid foundation for a future career in education, psychology or related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils in one‑to‑one and small‑group settings.
• Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence and active participation.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Help manage behaviour and maintain a productive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Degree in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care or a related subject (desirable but not mandatory).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Patient, proactive, adaptable and resilient.
• Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.

• Daily rate of £90‑£105 depending on experience.
• Full‑time hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
