Graduate Teaching Assistant – Maths Focus

About the role

This position is designed for a recent maths graduate who wants hands‑on experience supporting secondary‑school maths classes. You will work across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering small‑group interventions and one‑to‑one support while receiving training that can lead to salaried teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate small‑group maths intervention sessions.
• Support whole‑class teaching across Years 7‑10 (KS3‑KS4).
• Provide one‑to‑one assistance to students as needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and teacher‑training programmes.
• Collaborate with senior staff to deliver high‑quality maths instruction.

Required profile

• 1st or 2:1 degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject from a reputable university.
• Strong A‑Levels and GCSEs across the board.
• Confidence in delivering KS3 and KS4 curriculum content.
• Ability to engage, motivate and support students.
• Commitment and ambition to progress to qualified teacher status.
