Graduate Teaching Assistant – Maths (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking recent Mathematics graduates to join secondary schools in Sutton and South West London as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This full‑time, temporary position starts in September 2026 and provides hands‑on classroom experience while supporting students in their mathematical development.

Key responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stages 3‑5 in secondary schools in Sutton and South West London.
• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group maths interventions.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, delivery and classroom management.
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching) is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in education.

Required skills

• Subject‑level knowledge of mathematics.

• Daily rate of £95‑£120, dependent on experience and responsibilities.
