Graduate Teaching Assistant – Maths Graduate (Sutton)

About the role

We are seeking recent Mathematics graduates to join secondary schools in Sutton as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This full‑time position starts in September 2026 and offers hands‑on experience supporting young learners while developing classroom and intervention skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stages 3‑5, providing 1:1 and small‑group interventions.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and preparation.
• Help students with additional learning needs (SEND) as required.
• Contribute to the development of mathematical understanding and problem‑solving skills.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• Proactive, reliable and professional attitude.

Required skills

• Subject knowledge in mathematics.
• Logical reasoning and problem‑solving capability.
