Graduate Teaching Assistant – Maths & Science (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time, term‑time position offers recent graduates the chance to gain hands‑on classroom experience as a Maths and Science Graduate Teaching Assistant in secondary schools across North West London.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging Maths and Science lessons.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, including for students with special educational needs (SEN).
• Help develop students' academic, social and emotional skills.
• Support classroom behaviour management and promote an inclusive learning environment.
• Prepare and organise teaching resources to enhance lesson delivery.
• Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to monitor progress and implement learning strategies.

Required profile

• Degree level education in Maths, Science or any STEM subject.
• Previous experience in a school or other child‑related setting.
• Enthusiastic, professional and friendly approach.
• Experience or knowledge of supporting children with SEN.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Knowledge of supporting children with special educational needs.
