Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary Education (Sept 2026)

About the role

We are partnering with a supportive primary school in Wandsworth to welcome an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant. This position starts in September 2026 and provides hands‑on classroom experience across Early Years, KS1 and KS2, helping you prepare for teacher training routes such as PGCE or School Direct.

Key responsibilities

• Assist qualified teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
• Support small‑group interventions and differentiated learning for pupils.
• Work with children who have additional learning needs, including SEND.
• Contribute to pastoral care and the social development of students.
• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as required.

Required profile

• A degree in any discipline.
• Strong passion for primary education and a desire to become a teacher.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Experience with children (volunteering, tutoring, childcare) is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Basic classroom management techniques.
• Ability to deliver clear instructions and feedback.
• Organisational skills for planning small‑group activities.

• Daily rate of £95‑£105 (depending on experience).
