Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Houghton Regis from September. This full‑time, temporary position offers recent graduates a valuable stepping‑stone into teaching, educational psychology, SEN support or child development.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and during whole‑class lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Assist experienced teachers and SEN professionals with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and implement safeguarding procedures.
• Contribute to intervention strategies and support inclusive learning environments.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Passion for education and supporting children’s success.
• Any experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
