Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary School (London)

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham to offer a Graduate Teaching Assistant position starting September 2026. This full‑time, term‑time role provides recent graduates with hands‑on experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 before they begin formal teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Deliver targeted intervention sessions in English and Maths.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils needing additional help.
• Assist children with SEND to access the curriculum.
• Help create an engaging, inclusive and positive classroom environment.
• Support behaviour management and encourage pupil confidence and independence.
• Contribute to school life through trips, events and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Holds a degree in any subject.
• Passionate about a career in primary education.
• Experience working with children (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, childcare, youth work or volunteering) – desirable but not essential.
• Committed to making a positive impact on pupils' learning and development.
