Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Year 5)

About the role
We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will support Year 5 pupils across English and Mathematics, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils during whole‑class teaching and independent learning activities.
- Deliver targeted interventions in English and Maths to individuals and small groups.
- Reinforce classroom learning with clear explanations and tailored support.
- Encourage confidence, resilience and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of different learners where required.
- Prepare classroom resources and contribute to an engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to maximise pupil progress.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a primary school is desirable.
- Graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Confident supporting English and Maths at Key Stage 2.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning.
- Looking for a long‑term placement starting September 2026.
