Graduate Teaching Assistant – Psychology Graduate Role

About the role

We are seeking recent Psychology graduates to join our partner secondary schools in Kingston as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This full‑time position starts in September 2026 and offers hands‑on experience supporting pupils across Key Stages 3‑5.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students, including those with additional learning needs (SEND).
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and behaviour support.
• Help develop and implement intervention strategies that draw on psychological principles.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to personalised learning plans.

Required profile

• A degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Genuine interest in education, child development and behaviour.
• Proactive, reliable and professional attitude.

Required skills

• Understanding of cognition, motivation and behaviour.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
