Graduate Teaching Assistant – Psychology (North London)

About the role

Veritas Education is seeking enthusiastic Psychology graduates to work as Graduate Teaching Assistants in primary, secondary and SEN schools across North London. The role starts in September and involves supporting learners of all ages within a classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to help students achieve their academic potential.
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery, classroom activities and behaviour management.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere.
• Support pupils with special educational needs and learning difficulties.

Required profile

• Graduate in Psychology or a related discipline.
• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Empathetic, resilient and confident in managing classroom behaviour.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to deliver targeted academic support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
