Graduate Teaching Assistant – Psychology (Reading)

About the role
We are looking for a recent Psychology graduate to join a specialist SEN and SEMH school in Reading as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. The role offers hands‑on experience supporting children and young people aged 5‑16 with autism, ADHD, trauma and emotional regulation needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers and therapists in delivering personalised learning and therapeutic activities.
- Support behaviour management and promote positive mental health in the classroom.
- Help implement individualised education plans and therapeutic strategies.
- Monitor and record student progress and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, psychologists and mental‑health professionals.
Required profile
- Recent graduate in Psychology (or related field such as Criminology).
- Genuine interest in child, educational or clinical psychology.
- Compassionate, motivated and able to work with vulnerable young people.
- Willingness to learn and develop professional skills in a school setting.

What we offer
- Full‑time, permanent position (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm).
- Competitive daily rate of £90‑£105.
