About the role
Prospero Teaching is offering a Graduate Teaching Assistant position in a secondary school located in Maghull, Merseyside. The role starts in September 2026, is full‑time (8:30 am‑3:30 pm) and is a temporary long‑term placement paid to scale.
Key responsibilities
- Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students dealing with personal issues or stress.
- Monitor students’ well‑being and report concerns to appropriate staff.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and act when required.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to ensure lessons run smoothly.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) registered with the online update service.
- At least two professional references covering the last 24 months.
