About the role

We are seeking high‑achieving graduates to join an outstanding secondary school in Sutton as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This full‑time, temporary role offers hands‑on experience supporting students, delivering interventions and working alongside experienced teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Support students individually, in small groups and whole‑class settings.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
• Deliver targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment.
• Monitor and provide feedback on student progress and engagement.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse abilities and needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and a focused learning environment.
• Help build student confidence, resilience and independence.

Required profile

• Hold a degree from a recognised university.
• Strong academic ability and subject knowledge.
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about education and working with young people.
• Considering a future career in teaching or a related field.
• Proactive, reliable and eager to learn.
