About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to support secondary school pupils across a range of subjects. This term‑time, full‑time position offers recent graduates valuable classroom experience before pursuing teacher training or a school career.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1, small‑group and whole‑class support to students.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Deliver targeted interventions for pupils needing extra help.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs (SEN) where required.
- Encourage confidence, motivation and participation.
Required profile
- Degree‑level qualification in any subject.
- Experience working with children or young people (e.g., youth work, coaching, mentoring).
- Strong behaviour‑management skills.
- Calm, confident and resilient personality.
- Passion for education and helping young people succeed.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
