Graduate Teaching Assistant – September Start

About the role
We are seeking a recent graduate with an excellent academic record to join our outstanding primary school in Harrow (serving also Ruislip) as a Graduate Teaching Assistant starting in September. The role focuses on supporting literacy and numeracy development for children in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
Key responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering literacy and numeracy lessons.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils as needed.
- Prepare and organise teaching resources and learning materials.
- Monitor student progress and report observations to the lead teacher.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Recent university graduate with a strong academic record.
- Enthusiastic personality and genuine interest in working with children.
- Willingness to work in a primary school setting and support both KS1 and KS2 curricula.
Required skills
- Effective communication with pupils and staff.
- Basic organisational abilities for classroom tasks.
