Graduate Teaching Assistant – Southampton

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic graduates to join schools in Southampton as Graduate Teaching Assistants. This is a term‑time position that offers hands‑on classroom experience across primary, nursery and SEN settings.
Key responsibilities
- Work five days per week during term time, supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs.
- Assist teachers across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms.
- Help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment for young learners.
- Participate in training and professional development provided by the employer.
Required profile
- Recent degree (minimum 2:2 or equivalent).
- Passionate about education with a proactive, can‑do attitude.
- Positive role model for children and adaptable to varied teaching approaches.
Required skills
What we offer
- Day‑rate between £90.74 and £95.74.
- Long‑term, short‑term and day‑to‑day placements with immediate start.
- Full training provided – no prior experience necessary.
- £150 referral bonus through the Refer a Friend scheme.
