Graduate Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Technical (Engineering)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated graduate to join our Exeter office as a Technical Recruitment Consultant on a trainee basis. You will receive structured training and ongoing coaching while working on real engineering vacancies, clients and candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Learn recruitment fundamentals through on‑the‑job training and live coaching.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes for technical and engineering roles.
• Build relationships with clients and candidates, presenting suitable matches.
• Take ownership of personal development, actively seek feedback and apply it.
• Continuously develop sales, business and recruitment skills.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a competitive edge and strong ambition.
• Positive attitude, willingness to take responsibility and drive personal growth.
• Enthusiasm for a career in technical recruitment and sales.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic understanding of engineering or technical sectors (preferred but not mandatory).
• Motivation to learn recruitment, sales and business development techniques.

• Starting salary £28,000 rising to £32,000 upon promotion.
