Graduate UI Software Engineer

About the role

Elwood Technologies is seeking a Graduate UI Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing platform team. This role offers hands‑on experience building high‑performance trading and portfolio management interfaces for a digital‑asset fintech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance user interfaces across the Elwood technology estate using modern frontend frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Backend teams to translate requirements into responsive, functional UI features.
• Deliver reliable frontend releases on a rapid release cycle, ensuring quality and performance.
• Utilise React, TypeScript and state‑management tools while continuously improving code quality.
• Participate in the full frontend lifecycle: component design, API integration, automated unit and end‑to‑end testing, and ongoing maintenance.

Required profile

• Degree in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Practical UI programming experience with React and TypeScript.
• Solid grounding in an object‑oriented language (C#, C++, Java or Python).
• Strong understanding of computer‑science fundamentals, UI/UX principles, responsive design and web performance optimisation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• A genuine interest in FinTech, crypto and digital assets.
