Graduate/Trainee Electrical Design Engineer – Control Panels

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate or Trainee Electrical Design Engineer to join our Newbury team, working on bespoke control panel projects across diverse industries. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to develop into a fully qualified Design Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical control panel systems.
• Create electrical schematics and technical documentation using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Support workshop builds, testing and commissioning of panels.
• Collaborate with customers and senior engineers to understand project requirements.
• Develop the skills needed to manage projects independently.

Required profile

• Graduate, Junior or Trainee Electrical Design Engineer or equivalent.
• Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of electrical systems, circuits and engineering principles.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (or comparable CAD software).
• CAD proficiency.
• PLC and automation knowledge.
