Groundcare Technician – Machinery Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Groundcare Technician to join a leading groundcare machinery business in South Yorkshire. The role combines workshop engineering with on‑site service, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience across a wide range of landscaping and green‑keeping equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of groundcare vehicles and machinery both in the workshop and on customer sites.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure all work meets high quality standards.
• Assemble, conduct pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) and prepare new and used equipment for delivery.
• Provide technical and operating advice to customers, supporting safe and efficient use of machinery.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (Level 2 also considered).
• Proven experience with groundcare, green‑keeping, turf‑care, agricultural or plant machinery.
• Willingness to split time between workshop and field work across the South Yorkshire area.
• Flexibility to work varied hours during peak seasons and strong communication skills for customer‑facing interactions.
