Groundcare Technician – Machinery Maintenance & Field Service

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Groundcare Technician to join a leading groundcare machinery business. You will split your time between workshop repairs and on‑site service across the South Yorkshire and East Midlands area, ensuring a varied and engaging workday.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing on a wide range of groundcare equipment, including compact tractors, rotary mowers, ride‑on mowers, slope and remote‑controlled mowers, and utility vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs both in the workshop and at customer sites.
• Assemble, test and prepare new and used machinery (PDI) for delivery.
• Provide technical and operating advice to customers, ensuring safe and efficient equipment use.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (Level 2 also considered).
• Relevant experience in groundcare, green‑keeping, turf‑care, agricultural or plant machinery.
• Willingness to work both in the workshop and in the field, with flexible hours for peak seasons.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑facing attitude.
