Grounds Maintenance Gardener (Full‑Time, Driving Required)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Grounds Maintenance Gardener to keep lawns, gardens and external areas across Chertsey and nearby sites tidy, safe and attractive. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, and includes driving to various locations.

Key responsibilities

• Cut, edge and maintain lawns and grass areas.
• Trim hedges, prune, plant and weed across landscaped zones.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs and trees.
• Clear leaves and perform seasonal ground work.
• Apply fertilisers and pesticides where qualified.
• Operate and perform basic maintenance on gardening machinery and tools.
• Keep paths and hard‑landscaped areas clean and safe.
• Report hazards, damage or plant health issues.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or gardening.
• Ability to operate gardening machinery safely.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
• Reliable, punctual and self‑motivated.
• Desirable: horticultural qualification (PA1/PA6) and spraying licence; experience driving company vans or towing trailers.
