Grounds Maintenance Operative – 3 Month Temporary Role

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team for a three‑month agency assignment covering an absence period in Yeovil. You will help keep local outdoor spaces attractive, safe and welcoming while working outdoors as part of a supportive crew.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain communal outdoor areas, including grass, shrubs and hedges.
• Carry out soft landscaping tasks and minor tree work as required.
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues such as clearing hazards and removing dumped items.
• Plan and manage your workload across a fortnightly maintenance schedule.
• Work safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Practical experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture.
• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence (towing licence desirable).
• PA1 & PA6AW and/or NPTC qualifications are desirable but not essential.
