Grounds Maintenance Operative / Gardener (Yeovil)

About the role
We are looking for a reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative / Gardener to join our team in Yeovil. You will be responsible for the regular upkeep of communal green spaces, ensuring they are safe, tidy and presentable for residents and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and organise tools and equipment needed for daily tasks.
- Carry out grass cutting, strimming, weeding and clearance work across communal areas.
- Maintain cyclical upkeep schedules for gardens and open spaces.
- Complete accurate daily work records for each site.
Required profile
- Practical horticultural knowledge and experience in amenity maintenance.
- Full UK driving licence (towing licence desirable).
- PA1 and PA6AW qualifications or NPTC certification are advantageous but not essential.
Required skills
- Ability to operate grass cutting and strimming equipment safely.
- Competence in basic garden maintenance tasks such as weeding and clearance.
What we offer
- Competitive salary between £26,500 and £27,976 per year.
