Groundsperson – School Estates Maintenance

About the role

Reed Education is recruiting a Groundsperson for a well‑established primary school in Belvedere, Kent. You will join the Estates team to keep outdoor learning environments safe, attractive and well‑presented across several school sites.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance and landscaping duties across multiple school locations.
• Maintain outdoor spaces to a high standard throughout the year.
• Operate hand‑held and powered gardening equipment safely and effectively.
• Drive works vehicles between sites as required.
• Assist with a variety of site maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate proactively with the Estates team.

Required profile

• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or a similar role.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in maintaining high standards.

Required skills

• Operation of hand‑held and powered gardening equipment.
• Driving works vehicles safely.
• Health and safety compliance in outdoor maintenance.
