Groundsperson – School Estates Team

About the role

Reed Education is recruiting a Groundsperson for a well‑established primary school in Belvedere, Kent. You will join a dedicated Estates team to maintain safe, attractive outdoor learning environments across several school sites.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance and landscaping duties across multiple school locations.
• Maintain outdoor spaces to a high standard throughout the year.
• Operate hand‑held and powered gardening equipment safely and effectively.
• Drive works vehicles between sites as required.
• Assist with a variety of site maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or a similar role.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a proactive team.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in maintaining high standards.

Required skills

• Hand‑held gardening equipment operation.
• Powered gardening equipment operation.
• Vehicle driving for works vehicles.
