Groundsworker – Porcelain Tile Installation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Groundsworker to join a construction or civils site in Plymouth. The role involves a mix of general groundworks and the specialised task of laying porcelain tiles. You will work on‑site, supporting a range of trades while maintaining safety and organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general groundworks, digging, trenching and site preparation.
• Assist with drainage, kerbing, concreting and other external works.
• Lay porcelain tiles where required.
• Use hand tools and small plant equipment appropriately.
• Support machine operators and other site trades.
• Maintain clean, safe and tidy work areas.
• Follow site drawings, instructions and safety standards.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS card.
• Previous groundworks or civils experience.
• Reliable and available to work in Plymouth.
• Full PPE and a strong work ethic.

Required skills

• CSCS card certification.
• Operation of dumper or roller plant (optional but desirable).
• Proficiency with hand tools and small plant equipment.
