About the role
We are seeking an experienced groundworker to join a large commercial construction scheme in Exeter. The role involves hands‑on work on site, ensuring trenches, foundations and drainage systems are installed to the highest standards while maintaining safety.
Key responsibilities
- Excavate trenches, set foundations and install drainage works.
- Report progress and issues to the site manager.
- Work independently while adhering to site safety protocols.
- Maintain high workmanship quality and ensure full PPE is worn at all times.
Required profile
- Proven experience in groundworking within the construction industry.
- Blue CSCS card preferred.
- Reliable, consistent work ethic.
Required skills
- Groundwork and excavation techniques.
- Trenching and foundation installation.
- Drainage system installation.
- Blue CSCS card (preferred).
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of £22‑£23 (CIS available).
- Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑6 pm schedule.
- PPE and tools supplied on site.
- Potential for long‑term work after the first phase.
