Groundworker – Construction Site (Heysham)

About the role

We are looking for a self‑motivated Groundworker to join our construction team in Heysham. The role involves a range of groundwork activities on a full‑time basis, working alongside a skilled gang to deliver projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lay kerbs and blocks to required specifications.
• Carry out drainage installations and connections.
• Pour, level and finish concrete surfaces.
• Operate site machinery such as wacker, roller, dumper and stile saw.
• Assist with mini‑excavator tasks where required.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in kerb laying, block laying, drainage works and concrete finishing.
• Ability to operate the listed construction machinery and tools.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
