Groundworker & Labourer – Civil Engineering Projects

About the role

Our client, a growing civil engineering and infrastructure installation company, is seeking motivated Groundworkers and Labourers to join their permanent team. You will work on active construction sites across the UK, starting each day at 6:00 am with a brief at the Hertford yard before travelling to the project location.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out excavation and trenching works.
• Install drainage systems and ducting.
• Complete kerbing, paving and concrete works.
• Backfill and reinstate excavated areas.
• Collaborate with plant operators and site personnel.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship on live infrastructure projects.
• Follow all health and safety procedures on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience in groundwork and civil engineering.
• Valid CSCS Card (essential).
• CPCS or NPORS certification (desirable).
• Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
