Groundworker – Reactive Maintenance for Social Housing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a reactive maintenance team delivering repairs and upkeep across occupied social housing properties in Barnet and surrounding West London areas. The role is mobile, covering multiple boroughs, so you must be comfortable travelling between sites throughout the day.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out external groundworks repairs and maintenance within occupied residential properties.
• Repair pathways, paving, patios, slabs and concrete areas.
• Perform fencing repairs and replacements as required.
• Undertake drainage repairs and general external maintenance works.
• Complete minor brickwork, masonry repairs and make‑good works.
• Prepare and reinstate ground areas after repairs.
• Diagnose issues and complete works efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents' homes and surrounding areas.
• Manage own workload and complete jobs within agreed timescales, taking ownership from first visit to completion.

What we offer
