Group Accounts Assistant

About the role

The Group Accounts Assistant will support transactional finance operations across a multinational market‑research agency, handling both accounts payable and receivable functions. This hybrid, permanent position offers the chance to work with a diverse team across the UK, US and Europe while developing month‑end and intercompany reconciliation skills.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding, approval and VAT treatment
• Prepare and run payment batches
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate AP ledgers
• Raise and issue sales invoices and monitor outstanding debts
• Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Support credit control and chase overdue payments
• Process employee expenses
• Assist with month‑end close activities and intercompany reconciliations across UK, US and Europe
• Maintain accurate records and filing in line with group policies
• Provide ad‑hoc finance administration support and contribute to projects as needed

Required profile

• Experience in a similar Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable role, preferably within a creative or market‑research environment
• Comfortable handling varying transaction volumes and meeting deadlines
• Good communication skills for collaborating with colleagues across different countries and time zones
• AAT part‑qualified or equivalent qualification is desirable

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Xero accounting software (advantageous)
• Ability to work with multi‑currency and multi‑entity transactions
