Group Compliance Manager – Europe

About the role

This position is based in London and reports to senior leadership within a multinational organisation operating across multiple European jurisdictions. The Group Compliance Manager will help shape and maintain a robust compliance framework, supporting a wide range of regulatory and governance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal compliance due‑diligence for acquisitions, joint ventures and third‑party relationships.
• Conduct regulatory risk assessments across European operations and recommend mitigation controls.
• Develop and maintain the data‑privacy programme, including GDPR compliance, DPIAs, ROPA management and information‑governance processes.
• Draft, review and update compliance policies, procedures and governance documentation.
• Provide guidance on UK Bribery Act, anti‑corruption, competition law, economic sanctions and third‑party risk.
• Design and deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives across Europe.
• Produce compliance reporting and management information for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with global legal, risk and compliance teams to ensure consistency across jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or corporate governance.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, anti‑bribery, competition law, sanctions and third‑party compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting multinational or cross‑border operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence at all organisational levels.

Required skills

• Expertise in anti‑bribery and corruption legislation.
• Knowledge of competition/antitrust law and economic sanctions.
• Proficiency in drafting compliance policies and procedures.
