Group Finance Associate

About the role

Our client, a leading investment management firm, is expanding its Group Finance team and seeks a qualified accountant to support a wide range of financial reporting and group accounting activities. The role offers a blend of technical finance work and collaborative projects within a dynamic, hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts using Microsoft Dynamics and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support core finance processes such as bank reconciliations, staff expenses, corporate travel and credit‑card journals.
• Liaise with external payroll providers, process payroll schedules, post payroll journals and maintain staff cost schedules.
• Prepare pension, Share Incentive Plan (SIP) and Performance Share Plan (PSP) contribution schedules and reconcile related balance‑sheet accounts.
• Update and reconcile expense, accrual, pre‑payment and payroll accounts across group entities.
• Produce AIFM remuneration disclosures, employment data reporting and quarterly VAT returns.
• Assist with statutory audits and provide ad‑hoc project support to the wider Finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 3‑5 years of experience as a Management or Financial Accountant.
• Strong organisational abilities, capable of prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Flexibility to support colleagues across the Finance function.
